Dr. John Puxty, B ChB, MRCP(UK), FRCP(C) gave his presentation - "Age Well - Your Choice" on Monday June 22nd at the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club. You can view the video of his presentation below.
His presentation gave great insight into the composition of Canada's population, especially the percentage of aging adults, average life span and probability of frailty. Some interesting facts were that Seniors are at a higher likelihood of drug side effects, the fatality rate for drivers over 85 years of age is 9x higher than that of a driver between 25 and 69 years old, and that only approximately 60% of seniors have adequate financial planning.
