Transition Team Lead (Kingston, Ontario)

In this role, you will be responsible for the management and execution of all aspects of our transition process for clients assigned to you by the Company (with expert mentorship and guidance provided by our team). As a team, we deliver an exceptional experience for our clients who are often overwhelmed by the idea of downsizing or settling an estate.

Job Description
Overview
As a Transition Team Lead, you will be responsible for both transition based project work as well as overall Company support and team development. In terms of transition projects, you will be responsible for all aspects of managing the transition relationship with our clients including:
Initial meeting to get to know the client and stakeholders, understand their goals and timelines
Review the current and future state living environment for health and safety considerations to create a safe and efficient transition plan for the client and team
Build the client’s transition plan based on all the constraints as well as moving parts
Leadership and execution of the client’s transition, with supporting part time transition team members, including packing, unpacking, sorting, set-up, cataloguing, photography, auction pick-up security, dumpster loading, etc. in an efficient, organized, and timely manner.
Work with the Team to solve problems as they arise on-site
Communication with our client in a patient, courteous, and compassionate manner understanding that there may be situations where the client is overwhelmed or stressed
Keeping the team and stakeholders informed of progress updates via emails, calls, weekly team check ins, and notes in our client management software systems.
Engage in opportunities to communicate the company's benefits to potential pipelines (i.e. retirement communities, estate lawyers, professional executors and POAs, healthcare professionals)
In terms of Company support and team development, you will be responsible to:
Conduct periodic project and individual performance checks, motivating the team to work efficiently, identifying problems with performance and developing solutions to those problems, determining training needs to improve performance
Review scope to assess the team size and materials required to complete the job.
Assist in the development and implementation of policies within the office. Developing operating procedures, forms and systems
Advise team when unusual work situations arise or when new procedures are instituted
Supervise the initial and ongoing training of new and old team members
Support interviews with potential new hires
Meet regularly with other Transition Leadership to exchange information and to discuss issues affecting the office or team or ways to be more efficient
Assist in learning and training others with our mobile auction cataloguing software
Supervises and or performs special projects as required
Ensure packing and cataloguing supplies are plentiful, request additional items as needed

Ability to maintain a variety of records and the ability to prepare update reports to customers and supervisors
Ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, orally and in writing.
Considerable interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Considerable experience and demonstrated ability to serve the public and others with business in a courteous and professional manner.
Excellent writing skills and the demonstrated ability to develop written reports and action plans
Required Qualifications and Experience
Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
Ability to provide regular supporting hours 2-4 days a week (Mon - Fri)
Satisfactory background check
Comfortable traveling outside the greater Kingston area ~10% of the time
Preferences
Emergency CPR qualified
Knowledge of software platforms such as G-Suite, Trello, zoom, When I Work
